We’re currently experiencing technical difficulties with all Boston Ballet School registration (excluding Adult Dance Program). Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this issue. If you have any questions please email school@bostonballet.org.

Primary

The Primary Summer Session provides a space for students to safely execute foundational ballet technique including turnout of the legs, pointed feet, and body alignment. To keep students engaged in the “why” of ballet, this class introduces the idea of “critical thinking.” Faculty emphasize the meaning behind ballet direction (i.e., why must students work with pointed feet in ballet? How do students properly point their feet?). This is a very exciting level for both beginner level students and students interested in developing their technique in an age-appropriate environment.
